Brittany O. L. Smith is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Virginia. She focuses her practice in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Special Needs, Veterans Benefits, and Estate Administration. Brittany enjoys assisting clients with each phase of life, whether it’s foundational estate planning, planning for retirement, or getting a plan in place in the event of a crisis such as nursing home placement, in home care or long-term care. Brittany is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (“CELA”) through the National Elder Law Foundation.  The “CELA” certification is considered to be the gold standard for Elder Law and Special Needs practitioners.

Brittany obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Messiah College in May of 2011 and her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in May of 2014. While at West Virginia University, she served as a Student Attorney with the West Virginia Innocence Project where she worked on investigating cases of potential innocence, as well as several legislative initiatives. She was a member of the Lugar Trial Association and competed in several national trial competitions. She also served as a Judicial Law Clerk for several local Common Pleas Court Judges.

She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Virginia Bar Associations, the Lycoming County Bar Association, The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (“NAELA”), the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (“PAELA”), the Academy of Special Needs Planners, and is an accredited attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
